Laurent Cardon is French and has been living in São Paulo since 1995.
Having studied animation at Les Gobelins School in Paris, he works as an animator, storyboard artist, layout man and illustrator, and is a founding partner of the graphic arts and animation studio Citron Vache.
In addition to Brazil, he has worked on television series and feature films in countries such as France, China, Korea, Spain and also in Vietnam, where he was art director at a 2D animation studio.
His experience with children's literature began in Brazil, and today his portfolio has an infinite number of works as author and also as illustrator, having received several awards in Brazil and worldwide. To name a few: in 2005, FNLIJ's Hors Concours for the Brazilian edition of Busca-se Lobo ; in 2012, second Best Children's Book at the Bienal de Brasília by Um Nó na Cabeça ; in 2014, Best Children's Book by FNLIJ by Sete Patinhos na Lagoa ; and for S'unir c'est se mélanger , book he wrote and illustrated, Laurent received the French Prix Cultura 2016 and Prix des Incorruptibles 2017 awards.
He also teaches courses and workshops in film language and animation for both adults and kids.
